Community Restorative Services & Solutions (CRSS)

 We believe just as families and communities can collectively experience trauma, they can also come together connectedly for healing, resilience and restoration. The CRSS focuses on building trauma and resilience-informed families, organizations and communities through education, training and consultation. We utilize Restorative and Trauma Informed Practices on a micrco and macro level.

We follow Substance Abuse and Mental Services Administration's (SAMHSA) 

6 Principles of a Trauma-Informed Approach

  • Safety: The trauma-informed community prevents violence/conflict and creates safe physical environments.

  • Trustworthiness and Transparency:  The trauma-informed community cultivates positive relationships among families, residents, police, schools, and others. It values and encourage honesty and transparency. 

  • Empowerment, Voice and Choice:  The trauma-informed community ensures opportunities for success and advancement are available for all. It listens to the voice of all parties and empowers one another through choice.

  • Collaboration:  The trauma-informed community promotes relationships and partnerships. 

  • Peer Support:  The trauma-informed community engages individuals and communities to work together on issues of common concern. 

  • History, Gender, Culture:  The trauma-informed community values and supports history, culture, and diversity.
