About the Event
Upon completion of this course, the health care provider will have increased awareness and knowledge on the issue of human trafficking, recognize the important role that a provider has with trafficking victims and be able to identify red flags seen in potential victims. The provider will also gain a better understanding of how to use a trauma-informed approach when providing care to a person who has experienced human trafficking. Additionally, they will learn when to report potential victims of human trafficking to the appropriate authorities.
2 Contact Hours Will Be Awarded Upon Completion Of This Training (Contact Hours Are Only Available for Nurses)

- Identify the health problems associated with human trafficking
- Recognize and respond to victims of human trafficking using a trauma-informed approach
